A New Year – Geek Night

Our very own in-house geek(alias): Carolyn the Prez – shared the wealth of knowledge and experience of social media, web sites and everything arts online.

Patiently waiting...

There was so much to look at that we ran out of time before we ran out of information. Lots of questions and input from everyone gathered made for a lively evening….that everyone agreed should be January’s theme yearly….always lots of new stuff to learn!

We saved you a space but it got filled up ….. you’ll just have to be there next year (…or be square).

We looked at our own web site…where you are presently reading this, at Facebook where a number of our members have personal or business pages. Mail Chimp was opened up to show the members where their emails come from (it’s free!) and then we moved on to Etsy and Pinterest. These are all free to browse and the connections are fun and infinite.

Rick Revelle actually brought up Linkedin as he has had great success with his new book ‘I Am Algonquin’ via that platform….he has well over 400 followers (we checked!)

During a break John Lazarus led us to his daughter’s theatre costume design site….and the night progressed with camaraderie.
